Learning Experience

Dr. Wei-Chen Huang obtained her BS, and MS degree in Materials Science & Engineering from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University in 2009. She joined Delta Electronics Ltd as a chemical engineer from 2010 to 2011. Wei-Chen received her PhD degree at Materials Science & Engineering in NYCU in 2015. From 2015 to 2017, Wei-Chen was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Materials Science and Engineering of Carnegie Mellon University in the United States. Then she served as a faculty in Taipei Medical University as an Assistant Professor in the Graduate Institute of Biomedical Materials and Tissue Engineering from 2017 through 2019. Since Aug. of 2019, she served in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering in NYCU as an Assistant Professor.

Wei-Chen’s research includes the development of biocompatible soft nanomaterials and the applied device fabrication process. The current research work is mainly focused on the design of advanced bioelectronics which is combined with the concept of soft biological polymer science, biocompatible microfabrication, and bio-inspired technology. The further research application is mainly toward the design of implanted neural microelectrodes, biosensors, and wearable bioelectronic devices.
