Research Group A - Integrated Circuit and Sensing Elements
Our research focuses on hardware designs, including high-performance integrated circuits, integrated sensors and readout circuits, brain-computer interfaces, and advanced non-volatile memory devices.
Our research in forward-looking IC techniques lays a solid foundation for future electronic technologies. We develop the CPU systems and high-performance mixed-signal IPs for System-on-chips (SoC). Moreover, we study the components needed in IoT systems, including sensors and readout circuits, signal processing technologies of advanced brain-computer interfaces, high-density non-volatile memory devices required by solid-state devices, and the compute-in-memory techniques of neural networks.

Research Group C (Biomedical Engineering)
Our research mainly focuses on biomedical engineering. The current biomedical industry, similar to the electronic industry thirty years ago, is in an early stage of development and in urgent need of talents. The research of biomedical engineering requires talents with medical backgrounds to provide expertise in clinical practices. The research also requires the integration of expertise of biomechanical and engineering talents to develop groundbreaking products. We developed Taiwan's first BioICT, based on NYCU's solid background in ICT, and target both academic and industrial developments. We cultivate students with interdisciplinary backgrounds by combining the rich resources of education and research in electrical and computer engineering, science and technology, and biotechnology. We provide diverse courses and encourage students to learn interdisciplinary knowledge and actively interact with others, cultivating talents and leaders with interdisciplinary intellect in biomedical engineering.
