SCHOLARSHIP
1. NSTC Excellent Ph.D. Student Scholarship.
National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) handles the “Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST, now called NSTC) sponsored excellent Ph.D. student scholarship in universities” to cultivate talents to conduct basic scientific research. The scholarship awards excellent Ph.D. students with research potential and supports them so that they can focus on the research. The scholarship is NTD$ 40,000 per month and lasts at most four years.
2. Xin Miao Key Tech Ph.D. Student Scholarship.
Xin Miao Education Foundation encourages excellent Ph.D. students to enroll in NYCU. The scholarship is open to Taiwanese citizens who have enrolled in the Ph.D. program at NYCU and study electrical engineering, computer engineering, communication engineering, artificial intelligence, biomedical engineering, or eco-sustainable-related fields. Each academic year, two students are chosen, and each can receive NTD$ 25,000 per month, which lasts for at most three academic years.
3. SpringSoft NCTU Scholarship.
Two students are chosen each year, and each student is awarded NTD$ 20,000 per month, which lasts for 12 months.
4. Scholarship for Direct Admission to Doctoral Program.
The scholarship encourages excellent ECE department students to be directly admitted to our doctoral program. At most two students are chosen each year, and each student is awarded at most NTD$ 20,000 per month, which lasts 12 months.
5. Scholarship for Bachelor/Master 4+1 Program.
The scholarship encourages excellent students in the ECE department to admit to our master’s program. Each qualified student is awarded at most NTD$ 15,000 per month, which lasts for five months.
6. Yün-Yung Hope Scholarship.
NCTU alumni, Ch’i-Shang Wang from 75’ control engineering, established the scholarship commemorating his father, Mr. Yün Wang, and his father-in-law, Mr. Yung-Min Li. The scholarship encourages NYCU ECE students under the poverty line to study diligently and hopes to mitigate their economic pressures. The scholarship awards NTD$ 30,000 for each qualified student.
7. NYCU guidelines for supporting selected Ph.D. students to conduct research abroad.
The guidelines encourage Ph.D. students in NYCU to conduct research abroad, elevate their research qualities, assist them in learning the international research trends, broaden their global visions, and enhance the collaboration between NYCU and international institutions.
8. NYCU guidelines for supporting graduate students to attend international conferences.
The guidelines encourage graduate students in NYCU to attend international conferences and publish their papers, helping students accumulate their knowledge from international professions and develop technologies and new research methods.
